Miko for Mac

Your servers over SSH

Connect a Linux server you reach with SSH from your Mac, and start agents there from the Mac app.

The Mac app can run agents on a Linux server you already reach with SSH from your Mac. It uses your Mac’s own SSH setup.

  1. Pick Linux

Choose Add a machine. Under Where should your agents run?, pick Linux: Connect to your server with SSH.

  2. Fill in the host

Host name, then Address or SSH alias. SSH user, Port and Identity file path are optional; an empty port comes from your SSH config. Add the Remote project folder and press Save host.

  3. Check the host key

Press Inspect host key. Compare the fingerprint with the one your server shows, then press Trust this fingerprint.

  4. Check what’s installed

Press Probe dependencies. The server needs Python 3.9 or later and Git.

  5. Add an account and a folder

Press Register remote account for a profile that is already signed in on that server. Then press Add remote folder.

Pick the server in the machine menu in the title bar and press New agent on …, or + next to one of its accounts. Choose the Account, Project, Model and Effort, then press Start on …. Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, OpenCode and Antigravity can all start on a server this way. The agent keeps running there when Miko disconnects.

Opens the web app in your browser. See Get started with Miko Cloud.

A server with Miko Host

A server you connect in the web app runs agents on its own, even with your Mac closed. See Connect your own server.
