Routines

Your machine runs a task on a schedule, even while you sleep, and the answer waits in your Inbox.

Open Routines in the top bar, or from the menu at the top right on a phone. Or open Search or run… (⌘K on a Mac, CtrlShiftK elsewhere) and choose New routine.

  1. Start one

Press New routine, or pick an example such as “Every morning at 8: summarise my PRs”.

  2. Pick when

Set the time, then choose how often: daily (it reads Every morning, Every afternoon, Every evening or Every day, by the time), Every weekday, On some days, Every month, every hour or every few hours (between two times you set), or Once.

  3. Pick what

Choose “Ask <account> in <project>” and write what it should do.

Or choose Remind me and write the reminder.

  4. Pick where it tells you

Under Tell me, choose in Needs you and on my phone or in Needs you.

  5. Save

Press Save routine, or Save reminder for a reminder. The sheet shows when it runs next.

More choices

Name the routine.

Choose whether the agent asks before each step, the default, or asks fewer questions where its agent has a mode for that. When Miko can see the question, you get a notification.

If the machine was off at that time: Run once when it’s back or Skip that run.

During your quiet hours: Run, and notify quietly or Wait until they end.

On a routine

Press Run now, Pause or Resume.

Its ⋯ menu has Edit, See all runs and Remove.

Replies land in the Inbox, marked “From a routine”.

Runs show lines such as Done Missed: <machine> was off Skipped: still running from 08:00 Couldn’t start: <account> isn’t signed in on <machine> Stopped: the account hit its usage limit

Notes

The Notes tab keeps notes and to-dos. Only your devices can read them.

Canvas

Pick the example “Every weekday at 7: check Canvas for news and deadlines”.

The Check Canvas every weekday sheet adds your Canvas access key, calendar feed and Canvas address, then the routine.

Miko never asks for your Canvas password.

What it needs

For a task, a project on the machine. Routines run in a project.

An AI account signed in on that machine, from any provider. Claude Code and OpenCode report each step. With other agents, Miko sees the terminal go quiet but not a question.

The machine on. If it’s off, the routine runs when it’s back, or skips, as you chose.

An up-to-date machine. Otherwise the sheet says “Update <machine> to use routines and previews.”

Limits

At most 2 runs at once on a machine. A routine never overlaps itself.
