FAQ
Short answers to what beta testers ask most.
Do I need my own AI account?
Yes. Miko doesn’t sell AI usage. You sign in to your own account, and the provider bills you.
Use a subscription you already have, such as Claude Pro or Max or ChatGPT Plus or Pro, or an API key from any provider in Miko’s list.
Which AI apps can I use?
Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and every other coding agent, plus any API key, on your own accounts.
What runs where today is in Agents, accounts and API keys.
Is it the real Claude Code?
Yes. Each agent runs the official Claude Code in a real terminal on your machine.
Where does my AI sign-in stay?
On the machine where you signed in. You sign in through the provider’s own login, in a terminal there.
A Miko Cloud machine can share its sign-ins with your other machines when you connect them. Whoever runs the server that keeps a sign-in can read it.
What happens when an account hits its limit?
A running agent keeps its account.
Codex and OpenRouter agents wait for the limit, then continue on the same account. Turn this off with Continue Codex after its limit, or Continue OpenRouter after its limit, in the account’s ⋯ menu.
When Miko hands out new work, it skips accounts that are at their limit.
Do agents stop when I close the tab or my laptop?
Cloud and Linux-server agents keep working when you close the tab or laptop. Agents running on your Mac need that Mac to stay awake. Closing the Mac app window leaves its background runtime running.
Can I add several accounts?
Yes, for example Personal and Work.
Each one signs in once on each machine. Use Sign in on… on the account card for another machine.
Is there an iPhone app?
Miko for iPhone is built, but not in the App Store yet. You pair it from Settings › Devices › Add iPhone… in the web app. It shows agents from every provider.
How do I use it on Android?
Open Miko in Chrome, then press Enable notifications in Settings › Notifications.
Adding it to the Home Screen is optional.
Can I use ChatGPT Plus or Pro on a Miko computer?
Yes. Sign in with ChatGPT Plus or Pro through the provider’s own login, and your sign-in stays on that machine.
An OpenAI key works there too.
Does my server need open ports?
No. Miko connects out over HTTPS. Nothing needs to come in.
How do I remove Miko from my server?
Run sudo miko-host uninstall. It keeps the agents’ files.
sudo miko-host uninstall –purge –delete-user-data removes those too, after you type the machine’s name.
What happens to my server if I delete my account?
It disconnects at once, and its files stay. Run sudo miko-host uninstall there to remove Miko.
You can restore the account for 7 days.
I lost my phone. What now?
On another device, open Settings › Devices, press Remove… on the phone, then Revoke.
If it approved other devices, Miko lists them so you can revoke those too.
It’s cut off from every machine within about 2 seconds.
How many devices can I add?
Up to 20 per account.
Can I share a preview?
No. A preview opens only on devices you’ve approved, and there are no share links.
Which accounts can run a routine?
Any account signed in on that machine. Claude Code and OpenCode report each step. With other agents, Miko can’t see a question while the routine runs.
What does Miko cost?
The $20 monthly plan includes $25 in agent-time credit; the $100 plan includes $125. Your AI accounts bill separately for model usage. See Plans and billing and the current prices.
How many agents can I run at once?
On Miko Cloud, the $20 plan includes up to 10 agents at once; the $100 plan includes up to 20. Higher limits are listed on the pricing page. The Cloud limit does not apply to your own servers. Your machine’s resources and AI account limits still apply.
How do I get an invite or send feedback?
